Since April, Jammu Kashmir police have detained more than 4,000 individuals in drug-related operations, according to the Director General of Police.

The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir announced that the state police have arrested more than 4,000 suspects in drug‑related cases since April. The tally includes individuals involved in cultivation, trafficking and distribution of narcotics across the region. Operations were carried out in multiple districts, targeting both local and cross‑border supply chains. The crackdown aims to curb the growing drug menace that has affected rural and urban communities alike.
