The Jammu & Kashmir government has announced new parking regulations that require all payments to be made electronically, phasing out cash transactions.
The state government has notified a set of new parking rules that make cashless payment mandatory for all parking fees.
Under the new guidelines, parking operators across Jammu & Kashmir must accept only electronic modes of payment such as mobile wallets, UPI, credit or debit cards, and other digital platforms.
The move is aimed at streamlining revenue collection, reducing congestion at parking counters, and encouraging the use of digital transactions across the state.
