Jalandhar Rail Workers Protest Against Privatization Plans

Railway employees in Jalandhar staged a protest demanding the government halt the planned privatization of rail services. The workers argue that privatization could jeopardise job security and compromise service quality for passengers. They called on the Ministry of Railways to reconsider the policy and to engage in dialogue with staff representatives. The protest took place outside the Jalandhar Railway Station, where several hundred employees gathered with placards and banners. Authorities have yet to respond to the demands.
