A major fraud has been unearthed in Jalandhar, where six individuals have been accused of cheating people of lakhs of rupees. The accused allegedly promised victims police recruitment and overseas travel opportunities. The Jalandhar police have taken the accused into custody and are investigating the matter further. The accused had been operating in the area, targeting unsuspecting individuals with false promises of employment and travel opportunities.
