External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted competition, conflict and choke points as the three key dynamics driving today’s global landscape.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, speaking to Asianet Newsable, outlined what he described as the three "Cs" that dominate the current international environment – competition, conflict and choke points.

He noted that heightened rivalry among major powers is reshaping trade, technology and strategic alliances, while regional flashpoints continue to fuel uncertainty.

Jaishankar warned that choke points such as the Strait of Hormuz and the Malacca Strait are increasingly vulnerable, affecting global supply chains and energy security. He urged nations to cooperate in safeguarding these critical passages.

The minister emphasized that India’s foreign policy will focus on navigating these challenges through multilateral engagement and strategic autonomy.
