From September 14 to 16, Jaisalmer's desert will host Droneathon-2026, featuring more than 60 defence companies, tech institutes and startups displaying cutting‑edge drone and AI‑driven systems.
The desert of Jaisalmer will become a showcase for advanced unmanned aerial technology between September 14 and 16, as the inaugural Droneathon-2026 gets underway. Over 60 participants, including defence manufacturers, research institutes and start‑ups, are slated to demonstrate a broad spectrum of capabilities.
Exhibitors will present next‑generation drones for surveillance, logistics and combat support, alongside anti‑drone counter‑measure systems. The show will also feature electronic warfare tools and artificial‑intelligence‑driven solutions that aim to enhance situational awareness and autonomous decision‑making.
Organisers have highlighted the event as a platform for industry‑to‑industry interaction, allowing companies to test concepts in a real desert environment and explore potential collaborations with the Indian armed forces.
The gathering underscores India's growing emphasis on indigenous drone development and the integration of AI into defence operations, aligning with broader national security objectives.
Stakeholders and visitors are expected to include senior defence officials, technology investors and media representatives, making the three‑day expo a focal point for the country's emerging unmanned systems ecosystem.
