The Cyber Special Task Team raided three locations in Jaipur, arresting 22 suspects involved in a fake visa scam and seizing numerous electronic devices and documents.
The Cyber Special Task Team of Jaipur Police carried out coordinated raids on three premises suspected of operating a fake visa call centre network. The operation, conducted early this week, targeted individuals who had been defrauding travelers by selling non‑existent visas.
Investigations revealed that the gang had been collecting personal data and charging exorbitant fees, promising legitimate travel documents that never materialised.
In total, 22 people were taken into custody and a large cache of laptops, mobile phones and forged documents was seized.
Police officials said the crackdown is part of a broader effort to curb online fraud and protect citizens from deceptive schemes.
