Jaipur, Rajasthan – The reservation lottery for the Panchayati Raj elections in Jaipur district was held today, finalising the distribution of reserved seats across the three tiers of local governance, from the Zila Parishad to the Panchayat Samiti.
The lottery, overseen by the State Election Commission, allocates seats reserved for women, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes based on a random draw, ensuring compliance with constitutional mandates and state policies on inclusive representation.
Election officials, including the District Election Officer, oversaw the process at the district council office. The results will be published shortly, after which political parties and candidates will begin campaigning for the elections slated for later this year.
