Jaipur: Municipal Engineer Arrested for Accepting Bribe to Avoid Sealing Property

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jaipur has apprehended Sanjay Kumar Bairwa, a Junior Engineer (JEN) with the Jaipur Municipal Corporation, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000.
Jaipur Municipal Corporation Junior Engineer Sanjay Kumar Bairwa has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe. The arrest was made while the engineer was receiving Rs 80,000 in cash.
The ACB received a complaint alleging that the JEN had demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. The bribe was reportedly sought in exchange for not sealing a house that was under construction. The engineer was apprehended by the ACB team during the transaction where he received a portion of the demanded sum.
Further investigation into the matter is underway by the ACB officials to ascertain all details related to the case and the full extent of the alleged corruption.
