From October 17 to 20, Jaipur’s traffic authorities have halted tourist bus entry into the Amer Fort and City Wall zones, altering vehicle movement in these heritage areas.
Jaipur’s traffic department announced a temporary change in vehicle movement for the city’s key heritage zones. Effective from October 17 through October 20, tourist buses will no longer be permitted to enter the Amer Fort precinct or the surrounding City Wall area.
The restriction applies exclusively to tourist‑operated buses; other private and commercial vehicles may continue to use the regular routes, subject to standard traffic rules.
Authorities have advised visitors and local commuters to plan alternative transport options and follow the revised signage that will be installed across the affected corridors. The measure aims to streamline traffic flow during the peak tourist period and protect the historic sites from congestion.
Travelers are urged to check real‑time updates from the Jaipur municipal corporation before heading to the monuments.
