A 20-foot stretch of road in Jaipur's Mansarovar area caved in following approximately two inches of rainfall overnight. The incident caused traffic disruptions, prompting authorities to initiate repair work.
Jaipur experienced significant road damage in multiple locations, including Mansarovar and Gopalpura Bypass, after receiving around two inches of rainfall on Sunday night. The most severe incident reported was a 20-foot section of a road in Mansarovar collapsing and sinking into the earth.
The heavy downpour exposed the poor quality of ongoing construction work in the city, leading to the road caving in. The accumulation of water in potholes and the compromised road structure severely impacted traffic flow in the affected areas.
Local authorities responded promptly to the situation. They have cordoned off the damaged section of the road in Mansarovar with barricades and have commenced immediate repair operations to restore normalcy and ensure public safety.
