Police in Punjab have filed a fraud case against a resident of Jagraon for allegedly cheating Rs 5.52 lakh by promising a Spain visa.
Ludhiana police have registered a criminal case against a man from Jagraon, accusing him of defrauding a victim of Rs 5.52 lakh. The alleged scam involved promising to secure a visa for Spain in exchange for a large upfront payment.
According to the FIR, the accused collected the sum from the complainant under the pretext of processing the visa application and never initiated any official procedure. The victim approached authorities after realizing that no progress had been made and that the promised services were a ruse.
