Authorities conducted an IT raid at the Rajasthan jail in Jaipur as part of the investigation into a rape case involving Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godhara.
The Rajasthan police carried out a specialized IT raid at the central jail in Jaipur on Tuesday, targeting electronic devices and data related to an ongoing rape investigation. The operation focused on material linked to two accused, Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godhara, who are currently lodged in the facility.
According to officials, the raid was prompted by new leads that suggested the suspects might have used mobile phones and other digital tools to coordinate illicit activities. Forensic teams seized several smartphones, laptops and storage devices for detailed examination.
The police have not disclosed the exact quantity of evidence collected, but they confirmed that the seized items will be processed under the cyber‑crime wing to establish any further criminal connections.
