The first Twenty20 International of the series saw India take on the West Indies in a high‑octane encounter. Both sides entered the match with strong batting line‑ups, and the early overs promised plenty of action.
Mid‑way through the innings, Indian wicket‑keeper batsman Ishan Kishan leapt at mid‑wicket, diving low to his right to collect a sharply hit ball that seemed destined for the boundary. His full‑stretch dive and clean grab were described by commentators as a "sensational" effort, turning a potential six into a crucial wicket.
The catch sparked immediate applause from the stadium crowd and generated a flurry of social‑media posts praising Kishan’s athleticism. Analysts noted that such fielding moments can shift momentum in a T20 match, underscoring the importance of agility and reflexes in the shortest format of the game.
