Indore's Main Roads Face Hazard as High-Tension Wires Tangled with Tree Branches

Despite half the monsoon season having passed, high-voltage electricity lines on Indore's main roads remain entangled with tree branches and vines, creating risks of sparking, short circuits and power outages during rainy weather.
The high‑tension wires running along Indore’s principal roads are currently wrapped with tree branches and creepers. This situation has persisted even though half of the monsoon season has already elapsed.
The entanglement raises the possibility of sparking when vehicles pass underneath, and increases the likelihood of short circuits. During monsoon winds and rain, the charged wires can cause power outages and allow electric current to flow into the trees.
As a result, the hazard of electrical accidents and disrupted power supply continues to affect commuters and residents in the area. The risk remains present until the vegetation is cleared from the lines.
