Police in Indore have registered a case after a woman entrepreneur was duped of ₹1.5 lakh through a fraudulent loan transaction in Model Village colony.

In the Model Village colony of Indore, a woman entrepreneur was approached with a loan offer of ₹6 lakh. Instead of a legitimate disbursement, ₹1.5 lakh was transferred to the fraudsters through an illegal channel, constituting a clear case of financial deception.

The perpetrators not only siphoned the money but also demanded a commission and later posted defamatory content about the victim on social media platforms, aiming to tarnish her reputation.

Indore police have filed a formal FIR and launched an investigation to trace the culprits, recover the stolen amount and identify the source of the online harassment. The case underscores growing concerns over loan‑related scams targeting small business owners.

Authorities have urged other entrepreneurs to verify loan offers and report any suspicious activity promptly, emphasizing that such frauds will be pursued vigorously under the law.
