Construction of two flyovers between Musakhedi and the IT Park on Indore's Ring Road remains incomplete past the March 2026 deadline, leading to severe congestion and accidents.

The municipal authorities in Indore have yet to finish the two flyovers slated for the Ring Road stretch that links Musakhedi with the city’s IT Park. Although the original deadline was March 2026, work on the IT‑Park side is still about 60% pending while roughly 40% remains on the Musakhedi side, according to the latest site reports.

The unfinished structures have forced thousands of commuters onto a congested carriageway riddled with potholes and scattered construction debris. Motorists report frequent standstills and an uptick in minor collisions, prompting concerns over road safety and fuel wastage.

City officials say that the delay stems from a combination of funding bottlenecks and logistical challenges in relocating utilities. They have pledged to accelerate the remaining work, targeting a revised completion date by the end of the year, and have deployed additional traffic‑management personnel to mitigate the current jams.

In the meantime, the Indore Development Authority has urged commuters to consider alternative routes and to adhere to posted speed limits near the construction zones to reduce the risk of accidents.
