Police officials confirmed that a young man was found dead on Sanwer Road in Indore after consuming a poisonous substance. The death occurred roughly four months after he married, and investigators ruled it a suicide based on the circumstances at the scene.
A handwritten suicide note recovered at the location alleged that the deceased’s wife was involved in an extramarital relationship with her brother‑in‑law. The note further claimed that the man’s in‑laws were demanding a sum of five lakh rupees and had threatened to lodge a false criminal case against him if the demand was not met.
Authorities have registered a case of suspected suicide and are examining the allegations raised in the note.
