Indore launches its first underground metro tunnel

Indore has started digging its first underground metro tunnel, a landmark development in the city's rapid‑transit project. The tunnel forms part of Phase I of the Indore Metro, which so far has comprised elevated sections. Moving underground will allow the network to serve densely populated areas where surface space is limited.
