Indore city Congress president Chintu Chaukas sat on the Bombay Hospital Service Road on Wednesday, demanding repairs after two years of neglect and warning of a traffic jam if the road isn’t fixed within five days.

Indore city Congress president Chintu Chaukas took to the Bombay Hospital Service Road on Wednesday, positioning himself on the tarmac as a form of protest against the road’s deteriorated state. The demonstration was aimed at drawing immediate attention from municipal authorities.

The stretch of road, which connects key parts of the city, has been reported to be in a poor condition for the past two years, with persistent potholes and water‑logged sections that impede smooth traffic flow. Residents have repeatedly complained about the inconvenience, but no substantial repair work has been undertaken.

Chaukas announced a five‑day ultimatum, stating that if the road is not repaired within that period, a coordinated traffic jam—referred to locally as a "chakka jam"—will be organized to pressure the administration into action. The protest underscores growing frustration among local leaders and commuters over delayed infrastructure maintenance.
