IndiGo has inaugurated its inaugural non‑stop service between Gaya, Bihar and Bangkok, with Bihar’s chief minister Samrat Chaudhary green‑lighting the route via video conference.

IndiGo has begun operating its first non‑stop international flight linking Gaya in Bihar with Bangkok, Thailand, marking a new direct air corridor for the region. The launch was formally approved by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, who joined the ceremony through a video‑conference link. State officials said the new route is expected to stimulate tourism and business travel between eastern India and Southeast Asia, providing a convenient option for pilgrims, tourists and traders. The service is part of IndiGo’s broader strategy to expand its international network and enhance connectivity for tier‑2 cities in India.
