India and New Zealand have activated their Free Trade Agreement, eliminating all tariffs on Indian products entering New Zealand.

India and New Zealand have officially brought their Free Trade Agreement (FTA) into force, a move that removes all customs duties on Indian goods entering New Zealand.

Under the new arrangement, Indian exporters will no longer pay tariffs on a wide range of products, from textiles and pharmaceuticals to agricultural produce and manufactured goods. The change is expected to make Indian products more price‑competitive in the New Zealand market.

Trade officials anticipate that the zero‑duty provision will boost Indian exports, potentially increasing market share and creating new business opportunities for Indian firms.

Both governments have highlighted the agreement as a milestone in strengthening bilateral trade ties and encouraging greater economic cooperation between the two countries.
