Indian Railways Launches 2,500+ Diwali‑Chhath Special Trains Until Dec 2

Indian Railways has announced a massive schedule of special trains to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the Diwali and Chhath festivals. The ministry has earmarked over 2,500 trips, covering routes across the country, with operations slated to run until 2 December. The move aims to ease travel for millions of devotees and shoppers who typically travel in large numbers during the festive season. Passengers are advised to book tickets in advance and check the updated timetable on the official Indian Railways website. The railways have also increased staff and security measures on these special services to ensure smooth operations.
