An Indian couple has left jobs in Canada valued at roughly Rs 1.3 crore to relocate to a mountain house in Himachal Pradesh.
The couple, who had been employed in Canada with combined earnings estimated at around Rs 1.3 crore, decided to give up their positions and move to a property in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. Their decision reflects a growing trend of Indians prioritising lifestyle and natural surroundings over high salaries abroad.
Sources indicate that the couple purchased a traditional "pahadon wala ghar" in a scenic location within the state, seeking a quieter, more sustainable way of life. While details of their previous occupations remain undisclosed, the financial figure cited underscores the magnitude of the sacrifice.
The move has attracted attention on social media, where many applaud the choice as a bold step towards personal fulfillment and a simpler existence away from urban pressures. No official statements from the couple have been released as of now.
