The Indian Army clarified that a circulating video alleging Chinese control over Arunachal Pradesh border areas is digitally altered.
The Indian Army issued a statement after a video spread on social media appeared to show maps and footage suggesting that Chinese forces had taken control of sections of the Arunachal Pradesh border.
Technical analysis by the army confirmed that the video is manipulated; the visuals do not match any real deployment and the map overlays are fabricated.
Officials warned the public against misinformation that could inflame tensions, urging verification from official sources. The army reaffirmed that India continues to maintain full control over its territory in Arunachal Pradesh.
No recent ground incidents have been reported in the area, and the claim was deemed baseless.
