The Indian Army examined a widely shared video alleging Chinese vehicles entered Indian territory and confirmed the footage does not show any unauthorized incursion.
A video circulating on social media claimed to show Chinese military vehicles moving into Indian territory without permission. The clip quickly went viral, prompting concerns and speculation about a possible border breach.
In response, the Indian Army launched a fact‑checking exercise, reviewing the footage, geolocation data and vehicle markings. Officials consulted satellite imagery and cross‑checked the route with known patrol patterns along the frontier.
The Army’s assessment concluded that the video does not depict any Chinese incursion. It clarified that the vehicles shown belong to regular Indian forces conducting routine movements, and the location is within Indian‑controlled areas.
The clarification was shared through official channels to counter misinformation and reassure the public that no unauthorised entry has occurred along the border.
