India and the United Kingdom have officially activated their trade agreement, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing that the pact will strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations.

India and the United Kingdom have officially brought their trade pact into effect today, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations.

The agreement, signed earlier, seeks to reduce tariffs, broaden market access for goods and services, and boost investment flows between the two economies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the pact would deepen economic ties and open new opportunities for businesses in both countries.

Both sides also plan to collaborate on digital trade, green technology, and supply‑chain resilience as part of the broader partnership.
