India to Host 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on September 12-13

India will host the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi from September 12 to 13, bringing together leaders of the five member nations. The summit aims to discuss global economic cooperation, geopolitical issues and strengthening multilateral ties.
The BRICS grouping comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. This year’s summit marks the 18th edition of the annual meeting where heads of state and government gather to coordinate on shared priorities. New Delhi has been selected as the host city, continuing India’s role as an active participant in the bloc.
Discussions are expected to focus on trade and investment facilitation, reform of global financial institutions, climate change mitigation and cooperation in technology and health sectors. The summit also provides a platform for member countries to address regional conflicts and explore avenues for collective security.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed the dates and said that detailed logistics, including the venue and security arrangements, are being finalised. The event will be attended by delegations from all five BRICS nations, along with invited guest countries and international organisations.
