India has identified critical minerals supply as a pivotal area for enhanced energy cooperation with Uzbekistan. Both nations also committed to strengthening trade relations and removing non-tariff barriers.

New Delhi is prioritizing the securing of critical minerals as a key component for deepening energy cooperation with Uzbekistan. This strategic focus aims to bolster India's energy security and industrial needs through collaboration with the Central Asian nation.

Beyond critical minerals, both countries have signaled a strong intent to elevate their bilateral trade. Discussions included concrete steps to address non-tariff barriers, which have historically hindered smoother trade flows.

The overarching objective is to significantly increase economic engagement, with both India and Uzbekistan agreeing to work towards doubling their bilateral trade volume within the next three years.
