India Reaffirms Arunachal Pradesh as Integral Part of Nation Amid China’s New Objections

The Ministry of External Affairs reiterated that Arunachal Pradesh remains an integral part of India, dismissing China’s recent objections.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a statement today reaffirming that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and that no change in this status is possible. The comment came in response to fresh objections raised by China, which continues to claim the state as part of its territory under the name "South Tibet."
MEAs spokesperson clarified that India’s position on Arunachal has remained unchanged since the 1962 Sino-Indian War and that the state’s sovereignty is a matter of international law and domestic constitutional provisions. The statement also urged China to respect India’s territorial integrity and to engage in constructive dialogue.
The remarks were made amid growing tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the eastern sector, where both countries have maintained a delicate balance of power. India has repeatedly called for confidence‑building measures to prevent any escalation in the region.
