India secured a slender victory over New Zealand in the second One-Day International, which was interrupted by rain.
The second One-Day International between India and New Zealand was played under intermittent rain, which forced several interruptions and a reduction in overs. Despite the weather challenges, India managed to post a modest total and defended it long enough to edge past their opponents.
The win gave India a lead in the short series, putting pressure on New Zealand to bounce back in the remaining fixtures. Both teams had to adapt their strategies as the rain curtailed the usual flow of the game, with bowlers exploiting the damp conditions.
Officials confirmed that the match concluded within the revised playing time, and the result stands as a hard‑earned victory for India. The outcome will likely influence team selections and tactics ahead of the next encounter in the series.
