India Calls on Global Mining Community to Join Mining Week 2026

India has announced a call for the global mining community to participate in Mining Week 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 15 to 20 October. The invitation, issued by the Ministry of Mines, seeks to highlight India’s growing role in the global mining value chain and to create networking opportunities for foreign investors and technology providers. Organisers expect the event to attract more than 3,000 delegates from over 50 countries, with sessions covering sustainable mining practices, digital transformation, and investment prospects. The week will also feature a trade fair where Indian mining companies can showcase their projects and capabilities to an international audience. Officials say the initiative will strengthen India’s position as a key partner in the global mining sector and support the country’s ambition to become a net exporter of minerals.
