The INDIA bloc has postponed its scheduled public impeachment event to tomorrow because of heavy rain, the Eastern Mirror reported.
The INDIA bloc had planned to hold a public impeachment rally today, but organizers announced a one‑day postponement citing adverse weather conditions. Heavy rain in the region made the venue unsuitable and raised safety concerns for participants and attendees.
A spokesperson for the bloc said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of the public and to allow the event to proceed under more favorable conditions. The rally, intended to voice grievances against certain public officials, will now be conducted tomorrow at the same location, pending any further weather updates.
No new time slot has been released, and the bloc urged supporters to stay tuned to official communications for the revised schedule. The Eastern Mirror confirmed the postponement, noting that the change was communicated through the bloc’s social media channels.
The postponement underscores how weather can impact large‑scale political gatherings in India, especially during the monsoon season, when heavy downpours are common across many parts of the country.
Authorities have been asked to facilitate the rescheduled event and ensure that law and order arrangements are in place for tomorrow’s gathering.
