The India-Arakan trade corridor has been suspended for three days following a border skirmish, halting the movement of goods between the two sides.

The cross‑border trade route linking India with the Arakan region of Myanmar has been temporarily closed for three days after a skirmish erupted along the frontier. Security forces from both sides reported an exchange of fire that prompted officials to suspend the corridor as a precautionary measure.

The suspension affects the flow of agricultural produce, textiles and other commodities that normally move through the border checkpoints in Mizoram and Rakhine State. Traders in the Indian town of Zorinpui and the nearby Myanmar market have reported accumulating cargo and delayed shipments, raising concerns among local business communities.

Indian Ministry of Commerce officials said the closure will be reviewed daily and the route is expected to reopen once the situation stabilises. No casualties have been confirmed, and both governments have urged restraint while diplomatic channels work to defuse tensions.
