India and Switzerland have concluded five new agreements aimed at deepening cooperation across multiple sectors, officials said.

New Delhi – In a joint ceremony, representatives of India and Switzerland signed five bilateral agreements covering a range of areas, including trade, research, and cultural exchange. The pacts are intended to strengthen the long‑standing partnership between the two countries and create new opportunities for businesses and institutions on both sides.

The agreements were signed in the presence of senior officials from the ministries of external affairs and foreign trade, who highlighted the mutual benefits of deeper collaboration. While the exact details of each pact were not disclosed, officials indicated that they will facilitate smoother trade flows, joint scientific projects, and increased people‑to‑people contacts.

Both governments expressed optimism that the new framework will boost economic ties and reinforce diplomatic goodwill. The signing marks another step in a series of recent initiatives aimed at expanding India‑Switzerland relations.

The ceremony concluded with a brief exchange of remarks, underscoring the commitment of both nations to pursue shared interests in a rapidly changing global environment.
