The Indian Meteorological Department has reported that a low‑pressure system over the Bay of Bengal has intensified, raising concerns that Cyclone Murasu may make landfall in Andhra Pradesh on November 3.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a bulletin today stating that a depression over the Bay of Bengal has strengthened, creating a higher risk of a cyclone forming in the region.

The agency has named the developing system Cyclone Murasu and indicated that it could make landfall along the coast of Andhra Pradesh on November 3.

Officials warn that the cyclone could bring strong winds, heavy rainfall and potential storm surge to coastal districts. Residents in vulnerable areas are advised to monitor updates and prepare for possible evacuation.

IMD will continue to track the system’s movement and intensity, issuing further advisories as the situation evolves.
