The India Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of thunderstorms in several districts of Maharashtra, while Mumbai is likely to experience light rain later today.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) released a weather outlook indicating that thunderstorms are likely to develop across parts of Maharashtra later today. The advisory covers multiple districts, warning of intense convective activity that could bring heavy downpours and gusty winds.
In the state’s capital, Mumbai, the forecast points to lighter precipitation, with the possibility of brief showers rather than severe storms. Residents are advised to stay alert for sudden changes in weather, especially during the evening commute.
Authorities have been briefed on the forecast, and local agencies are monitoring the situation to mitigate any disruption to traffic and public services. Citizens are encouraged to carry umbrellas and avoid non‑essential travel if conditions worsen.
