The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, warning of heavy rainfall and strong winds across the country.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has raised a yellow alert for the National Capital Territory of Delhi, signalling the likelihood of intense rain showers and gusty winds in the coming days. The warning follows a broader forecast that predicts widespread heavy rainfall and strong wind conditions across several regions of India.
IMD officials have cautioned residents to stay prepared for possible disruptions, including waterlogging in low‑lying areas and temporary inconvenience to transport services. Authorities are advised to monitor the situation closely and activate necessary emergency measures.
The meteorological agency recommends that people secure loose objects, avoid non‑essential travel during peak rain periods, and stay updated through official bulletins and local news channels.
