The India Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rain and thunderstorms across every district of Arunachal Pradesh beginning on September 15, urging residents to stay prepared.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) released a weather outlook indicating that rain showers and thunderstorms will affect all districts of Arunachal Pradesh from September 15 onward. The advisory covers the state's diverse terrain, from the low‑lying plains of Papum Pare to the high‑altitude areas of Tawang and Upper Subansiri.

Meteorologists expect intermittent downpours accompanied by strong gusts and occasional lightning, especially during the late afternoon and evening hours. While the system is not projected to bring extreme flooding, localized waterlogging and reduced visibility on mountain roads are possible.

Authorities in the state have been advised to monitor river levels and keep emergency response teams on standby. Residents are urged to secure loose objects, avoid travel on vulnerable routes, and stay updated through local news and official IMD bulletins.

The forecast aligns with the region's typical monsoon pattern, which intensifies in September. Farmers in the valley districts are advised to protect standing crops, and schools in high‑risk zones may consider temporary closures if conditions deteriorate.
