The Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall in 13 districts of Telangana, urging residents to take precautions over the next three days.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for 13 districts in Telangana, effective for the next three days. The alert warns of potentially severe rainfall that could lead to flooding and waterlogging in affected areas.
While the specific districts are not listed in the brief, the warning covers a significant portion of the state, signalling that many communities may experience heavy downpours. Residents in the affected districts are advised to stay updated through local weather bulletins and to prepare for sudden weather changes.
Authorities recommend that people secure loose outdoor items, avoid traveling on low-lying roads, and keep emergency kits ready. The IMD has urged local governments to reinforce drainage systems and to be prepared for possible evacuations if rainfall intensifies.
