The India Meteorological Department says showers are expected in Delhi later this week, which should ease the current heat spell.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a short‑term outlook indicating that rain is likely to affect Delhi in the coming days. The forecast comes as the capital has been enduring a prolonged period of high temperatures, prompting concerns among residents and authorities.
According to the IMD bulletin, scattered showers are expected later this week across the city and its surrounding areas. Meteorologists expect the rainfall to bring a noticeable drop in temperature, providing much‑needed respite from the heat.
Officials have advised the public to stay prepared for sudden downpours and to take standard precautions during the wet spell. The department will continue to monitor weather conditions and update forecasts as the situation evolves.
