IIT Bombay students detained after month-long protest over Sahil Wakode's death

Students at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay were taken into custody by authorities after sustaining a month-long protest. The demonstrations were organized in response to the death of a student named Sahil Wakode.

The protest, which continued for approximately four weeks, highlighted the grievances of the student body regarding the circumstances surrounding Wakode's passing. The sustained nature of the agitation indicates a significant level of concern among the students.

Following the detention of the protesting students, the parents of Sahil Wakode have stepped forward to demand justice. They have specifically called for accountability from a professor at the institute, implying a role or responsibility in the incident.

The incident has drawn attention to the internal dynamics and safety concerns within the IIT Bombay campus. The administration and law enforcement are now managing the aftermath of the protests and the legal implications of the detentions.
