Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the country are now distributing recently developed agricultural technologies to farmers, according to an ICAR spokesperson.

Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), the extension arms of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), are actively disseminating a suite of newly developed agricultural technologies to farming communities, an ICAR official confirmed. The rollout is part of a broader effort to bridge the gap between research institutions and field-level practitioners.
The technologies being promoted include climate‑resilient seed varieties, low‑cost precision irrigation kits, and mobile‑based advisory platforms that provide real‑time weather and pest alerts. KVKs are conducting on‑farm demonstrations and training sessions to ensure that farmers can adopt these innovations effectively.
According to the ICAR representative, early feedback from pilot districts indicates improved crop yields and reduced input costs. The agency plans to expand the programme to additional states over the next year, aiming to reach millions of smallholder farmers and enhance overall agricultural productivity.
