The IAS Association has asked for a Special Investigation Team to probe the killing of retired IAS officer Rakesh Agrawal in Bhopal and has met the state chief minister to press the demand.
Retired Indian Administrative Service officer Rakesh Agrawal was found dead in Bhopal, sparking shock among senior bureaucrats and the public. The circumstances of his murder remain under investigation, and local police have yet to release detailed findings.
In response, the All‑India IAS Association convened a delegation that met with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The officials urged the state government to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to ensure an impartial and thorough probe.
The association stressed that a dedicated SIT would help prevent any perceived bias and restore confidence in the investigative process. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether a SIT will be formed, leaving the case under close watch by the administrative community.
