The Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad has opened improved animal habitats and added four new safari buses for visitors. The upgrade aims to enhance visitor experience and animal welfare.
The zoo authorities announced the launch of the upgraded facilities on Saturday, highlighting improvements to various animal enclosures. These upgrades include larger spaces, better ventilation and enriched environments designed to meet the species-specific needs of the residents.
Alongside the habitat improvements, four new safari buses have been introduced to take visitors on guided tours through the park’s safari zone. The buses are equipped with seating for small groups and provide commentary on the animals seen during the ride.
Officials said the initiative is part of a broader plan to modernize Nehru Zoological Park and make it more appealing to families and tourists. They added that the enhanced settings are expected to contribute positively to the physical and psychological well-being of the animals.
The launch has been welcomed by local residents and frequent visitors, who noted that the new offerings make a day at the zoo more educational and enjoyable. The zoo plans to monitor visitor feedback and make further adjustments as needed.
