Home Minister Amit Shah to hold rally in Dehradun, present President's Colour to Uttarakhand Police

Dehradun will host a roadshow and public rally today as Home Minister Amit Shah arrives in the state capital. The event is scheduled to include a ceremonial handover of the President's Colour to the Uttarakhand Police, a tradition that marks the unit's distinguished service. Shah is expected to address a gathering of party workers, police officials and local dignitaries, outlining the government's priorities for the region. The presentation of the President's Colour, a prestigious honour bestowed by the President of India, underscores the central government's appreciation for the police force's role in maintaining law and order. The rally also serves as a platform for the ruling party to connect with voters ahead of upcoming electoral cycles, though no specific policy announcements have been disclosed yet.
