The Himachal Pradesh women's cricket side faced the Chandigarh women's team in the Senior Women's One-Day Trophy Elite match held in Jaipur on December 29, 2026.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) scheduled a Senior Women's One-Day Trophy Elite fixture between the Himachal Pradesh women's team and the Chandigarh women's side at a Jaipur venue on 29 December 2026. The match formed part of the elite tier of the national women's one-day competition, which aims to provide a higher level of exposure and competition for state and union territory teams.
Both squads arrived in Rajasthan earlier in the week for practice sessions on the city's well‑maintained pitches. Himachal Pradesh, known for producing disciplined bowlers, looked to leverage the conditions, while Chandigarh aimed to showcase its batting depth.
The encounter was attended by local cricket enthusiasts and BCCI officials monitoring the progress of women's cricket development across the country. While the final result is pending, the fixture underscores the growing prominence of women's domestic cricket and the role of venues like Jaipur in supporting the sport's expansion.
