The Himachal Pradesh education department announced that teachers’ Annual Confidential Reports will now be processed through an online portal, removing the need for physical paperwork.
The education department of Himachal Pradesh has issued a circular stating that the Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) of state school teachers will be shifted to a digital platform. The decision aims to eliminate the extensive paperwork that has traditionally accompanied the appraisal process.
According to the notice, an online portal will be launched within the next few weeks, allowing teachers and administrators to upload, review, and certify ACRs electronically. The system is expected to streamline data handling, reduce processing time, and improve record accuracy.
Officials said the move aligns with the state’s broader digital governance initiatives and will enable better monitoring of teacher performance across districts. Training sessions for school staff are planned to ensure a smooth transition to the new workflow.
