Himachal Pradesh Prepares for Four-Day Rain Spell as Western Disturbance Returns

The Himachal Pradesh state government has issued a weather advisory as a western disturbance is expected to bring continuous rain for the next four days. Lower valleys and the Kullu and Shimla districts are likely to receive the heaviest rainfall, while higher elevations may see fresh snowfall. Authorities have urged residents to stay alert to possible landslides and road blockages. The state’s meteorological department has set up monitoring stations to track the disturbance’s progress and will update the public on any changes. Preparations include mobilising emergency services and ensuring water‑storage facilities are ready for the influx of rainwater.
