Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said Himachal Pradesh will not compromise on anyone involved in the illegal drug trade.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reiterated the state government's firm stance against the illegal drug trade in Himachal Pradesh. Speaking at a press briefing, he emphasized that the administration will pursue a zero‑tolerance policy toward anyone found participating in drug trafficking or related activities.

Sukhu highlighted that law‑enforcement agencies have been directed to intensify surveillance, raids and investigations across the state. He assured the public that swift legal action will be taken against offenders, aiming to curb the growing menace of narcotics.

The chief minister urged community members to cooperate with police and report suspicious activities. He also warned that the government will not hesitate to impose strict penalties, including imprisonment, to deter the trade and protect the youth of Himachal Pradesh.

While no specific figures were disclosed, the statement signals a continued focus on strengthening anti‑drug measures as part of the state's broader law‑and‑order agenda.
